Not a conscious decision.

It was never my intention to post once a year on Kath's birthday, but it just seems to be working out that way. I think, quite simply, it's only the fact that I can't NOT say happy birthday to Kath that means I "force" myself to post!

I'm confident I lead such an uneventful life that nothing really warrents posting about. Well, nothing that would interest people from thousands of miles away! Only distant friends who have to show an interest else I'll pout and stamp my feet.

Anyway, I digress. This, as ever, isn't about me. It's about a lady that I know you all love, maybe not quite as much as me as I can love her as the good friend that she is, but also the beautiful Canadian woman who, if she lived 4,000 miles closer, would be another "One that got away" lol.

Kath, I love you a great deal. We haven't spoken much recently, but that won't last much longer. Once you get your new apartment I'll be over in a flash! ( Only kidding! ) I wish you a very Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great day and a lovely meal with your family. We'll talk about a house warming gift/birthday present once I locate some Haribo sweets for you! lol.

Take care and I look forward to catching up!

David xx

It's that time of year again!

No! Not Kath's birthday! It's my time to post :) .

It's simply a coincidence that I post on the same day that Kath has her birthday. If you know me then you'll know I'm all about me and it's all I can do to mention Kath's birthday. ( Have I mentioned it's Kath's birthday yet? )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, dearest Kath! I would say another year older, another year wiser, but I think we're fast approaching the time when it will be another year younger, another year wiser lol.

I hope you have a wonderful day and a brilliant time doing whatever it is that you have planned for today. I'm sure my comment will be the first of many, god bless the time difference so I get a head start on most people, as you are truly loved and adored!

I'll be thinking of you in hopefully sunny, hot Winnipeg from sunny, hot London and hoping against hope that I get to see you this summer!

Love you lots, take care and have a great day.

David xx

p.s. Get back to me on the present or I promise I'm going to buy you something inappropriate, ( and I don't mean in a good way! lol ).

Birthday greetings!

OK. I'm not sure anyone can comprehend just how little I know when it comes to posting on here. The last time I did it was just short of ten months ago and I had a school teacher holding my hand!

However, there are times when you simply have to overcome your fear and take the plunge, not least when it's for a such a good and important cause as this.

I would just like to say, with much love and affection...Happy Birthday, Kath!!!

We won't discuss your age, late thirties is no age at all nowadays lol, so I'll just wish you a great day and, as ever, I wish you everything you wish yourself. ( And great happiness, just in case you are selfless in your wishes as you are in life. )

David xx

p.s. You have many talented friends on here who love you lots and I can only hope one of them will do you one of those big fancy posts that I am totally incapable of creating with flashing letters and pictures of handsome men all over the show lol.

p.p.s. My lawyer has asked me to point out that Kath isn't in her late thirties and any comment or hint that she is such an age is wholly unfounded and, what's more, untrue.

Kath made me...

Having travelled 4,000 miles to visit Kath she decided that I couldn't go home until I finally setup a journal so here it is. I'm just about to disappear into the woods for 5 days so I will add numerous entries once I get back home. I should have plenty to say.
